Microsoft is expanding its coverage services to its clouds after the combination of ISO and Cloud Security Alliance. All the four clouds are getting benefits from these certificates while the details of newly expanded clouds are as following:
New and Expanded ISO: ISO 20000-1:2011 certificate is another step of Microsoft towards a better and comprehensive IT service management. The certificate is an evidence of Microsoft’s capability of monitoring and measures the management process and bringing improvement in it.
CSA Star Certification: Microsoft Azure’s another achievement is its CSA Star Certification which meant to provide rigorous independence to cloud provider’s security posture with the help of a third party assessment by combining ISO 27001 certificate in the specific area of Cloud Control Matrix. Azure has made it available in Azure Government cloud while Azure also has Gold Award of the CSA STAR Certification.
The depth of Coverage: Azure has the deepest coverage measured which means the customer facing service in audit scope. There are 61 customer-facing audit scope under the certification of Azure ISO 27001 and ISO 27018 which enables customers realistic and end-to-end ISO-compliant cloud applications.
